9/24/2011 8:33:00 PM

ROCHESTER, NY - Daemen fell to 3-4 overall and 1-1- in conference play today as senior Dominic Coco converted two penalty kicks to give the Roberts Wesleyan Raiders a 2-1 win this afternoon.

Daemen sophomore Zakariah Hall (Wells, England) put the Wildcats up 1-0 ten minutes into the second half off a Kyle Clifford assist. Hall found himself in open space on the right side and knocked the ball past Raiders goalkeeper Michael Scavone.

In the 60th minute, Coco put a header on frame, but Wildcats goalkeeper Matt Daddario was able to stretch up to the upper right corner to make the save.

Halfway through the second half the Raiders had four consecutive corner kicks, but were unable to equalize off the opportunities.

Coco earned a penalty kick in the 68th minute as he was tripped up driving to the goal. Coco calmly slotted the ball home to the left side when Daddario went right, giving the Raiders the equalizer.

A second penalty kick was awarded in the 77th minute when Stephen Stewart was taken down in the open. Coco took the kick and sent the ball past Daddario near the right post to put the Raiders ahead and they held on from there.

Daemen has little time to lick their wounds as they head to North Canton, OH for a Sunday matinee affair tomorrow vs. Walsh.
