FLUSHING, N.Y.- Playing its second match in as many days as part of their season-ending three-match road trip, the Daemen College women's volleyball team picked up their fifteenth consecutive victory, ousting host Queens College in four sets, 22-25, 25-20,27-25, 25-13.

With the win, Daemen rose to 23-9 on the season and 10-5 in East Coast Conference play, while Queens fell to 10-13 on the year and 4-11 in ECC competition.

The two teams exchanged set victories to leave the match tied at one set apiece after the opening two frames. The third set would prove to be the turning point in the match, as Daemen would earn a hard-fought, two-sets-to-one lead after winning the third frame in extra points, 27-25. The Wildcats used the momentum from their emotional third-set win to coast to a 25-13 victory in the fourth frame, sealing the win.

Chelsea Turcer (Alexander, N.Y./Alexander Central) and Lindsay Nowak (West Seneca, N.Y./Immaculata) and freshman Amber Dryzmala (West Seneca, N.Y./St. Mary's of Lancaster) led Daemen to their win today.

Tilert racked up a game-high 27 digs, while Vazquez led the Wildcats with 21 assists. This was Tilert's ninth game of the year with at least 20 digs, and Vazquez's 15
th match of the season with 20 or more assists.

Dryzmala (eight kills, 13 digs), Turcer (16 assists) and Nowak (10 kills) all had solid supporting efforts for the Wildcats, while Anthon posted her third straight double-double, notching a team-best 11 kills to go along with 14 digs. To date, Anthon has ten matches this year with a double-double, which is a Daemen best.

Ceren Kilic, Xhesi Domi and Francesca Indoni led the Knights' valiant attempt in the loss. Domi racked up a team-high 18 digs, Indoni led Queens with nine kills, and Kilic had a monster match, posting a double-double with 14 digs (second on the team) to pair with a game-high 32 assists.

The Wildcats finish their road trip with their season finale at the University of Bridgeport tomorrow, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. It will be a rematch of their thrilling five-set affair back on Oct. 5 at Daemen. In that match, the Purple Knights jumped out to a 2-0 lead in sets, before the Wildcats battled back to win the third and fourth frames to tie it at two sets apiece, only to have their comeback attempt fall short when Bridgeport picked up a 15-10 victory in the fifth set to close out the match.

The Purple Knights are currently the top team in the ECC, with an 18-2 overall mark and a near-flawless 14-1 record in conference play.Â
