WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's tennis team dropped 9-0 decision to East Coast Conference (ECC) opponent Long Island University Post at Park Country Club today. With the loss, Daemen falls to 1-4 (1-3 ECC) on the season while the Pioneers picked up their first win of the season (1-2 overall, 1-1 ECC) while evening their conference record.

"The team played well today, but came up short in the big moments," said head coach Stephen Beatty. "I was proud of how the team played and fought for every point."

Daemen's best chance to snag a point came in No. 3 singles where sophomore Shaylah Iverson (Canandaigua, N.Y./Naples) came close but dropped the match 6-3, 6-3.

The Wildcats will look for their second win of the season when they travel to NCAA Division III competitor Wells College tomorrow (Sept. 15) for a 1:30 p.m. match.
