AMHERST, N.Y. - Senior point guard Lindsay Stoddard (Limestone, N.Y./Allegany-Limestone) has been named the East Coast Conference Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week for January 6-12 as announced by the conference office today.  Stoddard averaged a triple-double for the week (16.7 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10 assists per game) while helping Daemen to a 1-2 record. Today's announcement makes Stoddard the first women's basketball player from Daemen to earn ECC Player of the Week honors.

In a gut-wrenching 93-91 loss at Mercy College on Monday, Stoddard recorded the first triple-double of her career with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.  She followed that up with back-to-back double-doubles vs. Dominican College (21 points, 15 rebounds) and the University of the District of Columbia (11 points, 12 assists).  Her 15 rebounds in Tuesday's 83-64 non-conference win at Dominican were a career-best.

For the season, Stoddard is second on the team with averages of 14.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per game while dishing out a team-best 6.6 assists per contest.  She ranks among the ECC leaders in all three categories (10th in scoring, seventh in rebounding, first in assists).

Sunday's game vs. District of Columbia was the 100th of her career.  She ranks seventh all-time at Daemen with 412 assists in her career.

She shared this week's top conference honor with Chelsea Sanders of Roberts Wesleyan College.

Stoddard and the Wildcats return to action with road tests at Dowling College (Friday, January 17) and the University of Bridgeport (Saturday, January 18) this weekend.
