Women's Volleyball Can't Get On Track At Molloy

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's volleyball team suffered its third straight defeat, falling in three sets (12-25, 22-25, 19-25) to Molloy College in today's East Coast Conference matinee affair held at Quealy Gymnasium.  Daemen drops to 1-17 on the season and 1-5 in conference play with the loss, while Molloy improves to 7-8 overall and 2-3 in the league.

Danielle Williams paced Molloy with a match-high 11 kills.  The Lions also got 31 assists from setter Ally De Kruyf and 18 digs from Samira Escobar.

Daemen got eight kills apiece from senior Lindsey Nowak (West Seneca, N.Y./Immaculata), sophomore Amber Drzymala (West Seneca, N.Y./St. Mary's of Lancaster) and freshman Jenna Reeser (Amherst, N.Y./Sweet Home).

Freshman Katie McKrell (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) contributed 23 assists while Drzymala and senior Chelsea Turcer (Alexander, N.Y./Alexander Central) split 18 digs for the Wildcats.

Daemen looks to jump back in the win column when they host Edinboro University in a non-conference matchup this Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Lumsden Gymnasium with the match slated to begin at 7 p.m.
