2/22/2014 5:51:00 PM

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's tennis team dropped 9-0 decision to LeMoyne College at the Miller Tennis Center today. With the loss, Daemen falls to 5-12 on the season while the Dolphins picked up their first win of the season to go 1-11.

"We competed well but just couldn't convert on the big points," said head coach Stephen Beatty.

Daemen's best chance to snag a point came in No. 1 doubles where freshmen Brianna Fiorita (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara-Wheatfield) and Hayle Scanlan (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) came close but dropped the match 8-6.

The Wildcats will host ASA College at the Miller Tennis Center on Mar. 9 for a 10:30 a.m. match.
