Men's Tennis Falls To Le Moyne

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - The Daemen College men's tennis team fell in an 8-1 match to Le Moyne College, a member of the NCAA Division II Northeast -10 Conference.

With the loss, Daemen falls to 3-5 on the season while the Dolphins improved to 2-5 on the year.

"We played some of our best dobules all season; we just couldn't close it out.  Greg Lowe and John Wilson had a much closer match then the 8-3 score reflects.  All in all a huge improvement from last year's match." head coach Stephen Beatty said.

Gregory Lowe (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) picked up the lone win for Daemen as he prevailed in a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Shane Evans in the No. 2 doubles match. His teammates weren't as successful, as Le Moyne swept the rest of the singles matches and even took all three doubles matches to secure the win.

The Wildcats will be back in action Sunday, March 2 as they will host Lake Superior State University to take on the Lakers at 10:30 a.m.
