For Communications Men's Soccer Program Conducts Free Clinic For Park School Students AMHERST, N.Y. - On Saturday, October 29, players and coaches from the Daemen College men's soccer team conducted a free clinic for students in grades one through five at The Park School of Buffalo. Approximately 30 children participated in the three-hour event, learning the basic skills of soccer from Buffalo-Niagara's only NCAA Division II program.  The children were put through tactical drills, did speed and agility training, and, of course, participated in fun soccer-based games as well. At the conclusion, children and parents were invited to partake in a question-and-answer session with Daemen's players and coaches. "This was a worthwhile event, not only for the kids who participated, but also for our players and staff," said Daemen head coach Bobby McColl.  "Sometimes it's important to be reminded of why we love this game, and seeing the joy on the kids' faces took me back to what it was like to learn the game as a youngster, and I'm sure some of the other players and coaches felt the same.  We are incredibly fortunate to have a great partner in The Park School, and we look forward to continuing to develop that relationship with more events such as this." The clinc took place at The Park School Field, a soccer playing venue which has been developed in partnership between Daemen and Park over the last several months.  Daemen played all but one of its home contests their this season.
