Promotions For December Basketball Games Announced

AMHERST, N.Y. - Amanda Zanghi, assistant athletics director for events and operations, announced today the promotions associated with upcoming Daemen College men's and women's basketball home games for the month of December. They are as follows...

Hometown Heroes Game
December 14 (Women's Basketball vs. NYIT - 4:00 p.m. \| Men's Basketball vs. NYIT - 6:00 p.m.)
Join us to honor active and retired military personnel, local police officers, firefighters, EMT's and all first responders Military personnel, police officers, firefighters, EMT's and first responders receive FREE admission, and their families are eligible for the group rate of $2 per person Door prizes and raffles - proceeds raised are donated to the Wounded Warrior Project In-game giveaways Halftime entertainment: Denny's Halftime Slam, spectator contests, etc.

Kid's Field Day
December 19 (Men's Basketball vs. St. Michael's - 11:00 a.m. \| Women's Basketball vs. St. Anselm - 1:00 p.m.)
Local schools are invited to join us for a fun-filled day of basketball Group rates are available (prices to include lunch) Halftime entertainment: Denny's Halftime Slam, spectator contests, etc.

Teacher Appreciation Night
December 30 (Women's Basketball vs. St. Michaels - 7:00 p.m.)
All educators receive FREE admission with valid ID; family members are eligible for the group rate of $2 per person All educators will be honored Any K-8 students with an "A" or equivalent in any subject on their most recent report card can earn a chance to join the men's or women's team after the game for pizza and autographs In-game giveaways Halftime entertainment: Denny's Halftime Slam, spectator contests, etc.

Scout's Day
December 31 (Men's Basketball vs. St. Rose - 12 p.m. \| Women's Basketball vs. Lake Erie - 2:00 p.m.)
All Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and their troop leaders receive FREE admission; friends and family accompanying the scouts will receive the group rate fee of $2 per person Scouts will have the opportunity to participate in a pre-game shoot-around in the Academic & Wellness Center beginning at 10:30 a.m. All participants will receive a Daemen Basketball Scout's Day patch, a chance to meet Daemen cheerleaders, and a pre-game chat with one of the coaches Halftime entertainment: Denny's Halftime Slam, spectator contests, etc.
