Athletic Department To Host Olympic Camps This Summer

AMHERST, N.Y. - The Daemen College Athletic Department announced today that it will host three weeks of Olympic Camp this summer for area youths on the Amherst campus.

The Daemen College Olympic Camp will expose participants to a number of different Olympic sports and activities. The camp places a strong emphasis on team fundamentals, leadership skills and sportsmanship. Daemen's Olympic Camps are open for boys and girls entering grades kindergarten through eighth grade, and the cost is $200 per week. Special discuonted rates for families are available. All campers will receive an Olympic Camp t-shirt.

The first week of camp will be July 25-29, followed by a second session, August 15-19, and finally a third session, August 22-26. The camp hours are from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. with early drop-off and late pick-up available at no extra cost.

All Daemen College sports camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants. Each camp may limit registration only by number, age, grade level and/or gender. Further, NCAA rules prohibit representative of Daemen's athletics interests (a booster) who is not naturally or legally responsible for a prospective student-athlete (grades 9-12) from providing any expenses to attend a camp or clinic. Violations of this could result in loss of NCAA eligibility for the prospective student-athlete.
