Men's Cross Country 9/6/2016 4:03:00 PM Bodnar Named ECC Cross Country Rookie of the Week AMHERST, N.Y. - Daemen College cross country athlete Josh Bodnar (Fillmore, N.Y./Fillmore) has been named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for competitions held August 29 through September 5. The announcement was made via the league's weekly report which was released this afternoon from conference heaquarters in Central Islip, N.Y. Bodnar, a 5-foot-8 freshman, made his collegiate debut last weekend, helping Daemen to a third-place showing at the Le Moyne Alumni Short Course Invitational in Syracuse on September 3. Bodnar completed the 6K course in 22:21.87, finishing second among Daemen runners and 10th overall. In so doing, he became the first Daemen newcomer to psot a top-10 finish in his debut since Jeremy Rushok (Akron, N.Y./Buffalo State College) finished 10th at the Talon Invitational on September 14, 2013. Bodnar and the Wildcats are idle until Saturday, September 17 when they partake in the Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational.
