Beatty's squad, which won three out of four matches during the short fall season, will play 14 road/neutral site matches and the spring docket includes the team's five-match East Coast Conference slate. "I am excited about the upcoming spring season for our men's team," said Beatty, now in the midst of his fifth season as the team's head coach. "We play a variety of teams including some new teams that we have not played before. With matches in February against the like of Niagara, LeMoyne, Mercyhurst and Edinboro, these will all be challenging matches for us. However, I do feel this is the most talented team we've ever had so I think we'll have the opportunity to surprise some people and these matches will set us up for the rest of the season. All-in-all we have a tough schedule but spread out nicely to put us hopefully in a great position to make a push for the ECC tournament come April." Highlights of the team's spring schedule include: * Home matches at Miller Tennis Center vs. Division I affiliate Niagara University (Feb. 20) and regional rival Le Moyne College (Feb. 24). * Four matches in the state of Florida in mid-March, including three played at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Campus in Orlando; opponents on the trip are Wayne State University (Mar. 13), University of St. Francis (Mar. 14), Eckerd College (Mar. 14 - played at Eckerd [St. Petersburg, Fla]) and Earlham College (Mar. 16). * East Coast Conference season opener at defending league champion Queens College on March 23. * East Coast Conference home matches vs. Roberts Wesleyan College (Apr. 3), N.Y.
