For Communications Daemen Bowlers Earn Academic Honors AMHERST, N.Y. - Student-athletes Katie Good (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier), Kaitlyn O'Hara (Clarence Center, N.Y./Clarence), Hayle Scanlan (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) and Megan Racinowski (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga) of the Daemen College women's bowling team have been named to the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Team. The four Daemen student-athletes were among 229 honorees from the 50 NCAA women's bowling programs.  To be selected, student-athletes must have achieved a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.4 or higher for the 2016-17 academic year. Scanlan, a Biochemistry major, is the lone senior among the Daemen honorees.  Red-shirt sophomore O'Hara is a Childhood/Special Education major.  Good and Racinowski, both freshmen, major in Childhood/Special Education and Political Science, respectively. "We are very proud of Katie, Kaitlyn, Hayle and Megan for the academic excellence they've achieved this past year, and we congratulate them on being named to the NTCA All-Academic Team," said Head Women's Bowling Coach David Zajac.  "Balancing academics and athletics is a hallmark of being a Daemen student-athlete.  We look forward to the future achievements of this group, and to placing more of our student-athletes on the NTCA All-Academic Team in the years to come."
