Daemen College cheerleaders are a highly energetic group of students who perform at all home
men’s basketball games, including sideline and halftime performances. The goal of the Daemen College cheerleading squad is to encourage excellent sportsmanship and to provide spirit and pride during athletic competitions. The team also promotes the College's core values and represents Daemen College at all times. A high level of commitment to the team and College is expected.
Daemen College cheerleaders are highly visible at athletic and other community events and, therefore, must represent the College well by promoting school pride, spirit and good sportsmanship. The squad also competes at various local competitions throughout the year. The cheerleading squad is open to both men and women with tryouts occurring in the fall. Practices are held two to three times per week and more frequently as needed to prepare for performances.
If you're interested in making new friends, representing Daemen College and promoting the Wildcat spirit, cheerleading may be for you! Cheering experience, such as jumps, stunts, basic cheer knowledge, and tumbling is preferred but not required. Willingness to learn new skills and an abundance of school spirit are definitely required!
