MIKE MIRANTO QUICK BIO
Mike Miranto has served in various roles within the Daemen College Division of Athletics since arriving on campus in 2010. Beginning as the assistant sports information director, Miranto has since worked his way into the division's hierarchy and presently serves as the senior associate athletics director for operations and communications, a position he was promoted to in 2017.
In his current role, Miranto is the division's chief public relations officer, responsible for disseminating information related to and promoting 17 intercollegiate athletic programs. Miranto is primarily responsible for the daily maintenance of the Wildcats' online presence, most notably the college's athletics website. Miranto played a leading role in the collaborative effort to broaden Daemen's online reach through the design, development and launch of the college's athletics website in the fall of 2012, as well two subsequent re-designs and re-launches in 2015 and 2018. The first re-launch included a rebranding to daemenwildcats.com, the first time Daemen Athletics has incorporated its own dot-com.
Before shifting his professional focus entirely on communications/operations and the administrative side of collegiate athletics, Miranto spent eight years as an assistant basketball coach at the college level, including five on the men's basketball staff here at Daemen. In his time on the bench, Miranto helped the Wildcats to an 89-34 record and the 2015 United States Collegiate Athletic Association national championship. Before coming to Daemen, Miranto coached and held administrative positions at the University of Great Falls (Mont.).
Miranto resides in his native North Tonawanda with his wife, Lauren, and the couple's twin sons, Dominic and Elliott.
