Daemen Inducts 4 To Athletics Hall of Fame

LINDSAY (MILLER) CLARK

A native of Pocono Lake, Pa., Clark was a star midfielder for the Wildcats, appearing in 68 games from 2008-11. She got her career off to a fast start by totaling five goals - including three game-winning goals - and four assists for 14 total points as a freshman. Clark went on to amass 61 points on 19 goals and 23 assists in her career, a total that ranks seventh in program history (ranked fourth at the time of her graduation). She is one of only three players in program history to record at least 20 assists - 14 of which came during her senior season when she was named the American Mideast Conference Player of the Year and an honorable mention National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) All-American. Clark totaled a career-high 22 points that season while leading Daemen to its first-ever regular-season conference championship. A three-year team captain, Clark helped the Wildcats to a 39-26-5 record in her four seasons. She was also a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete recipient. 

KYLE CLIFFORD

While Clifford competed in three different sports at Daemen, a rarity in the modern age of intercollegiate athletics, his biggest exploits came on the soccer pitch where the West Seneca, N.Y. native appeared in 57 games from 2010-13. In that time, he set program records for career goals (30) and points (68). His best season came as a sophomore in 2011 when he tallied 16 goals and 34 points en route to earning All-American Mideast Conference First Team honors. As a senior, with Daemen transitioning from the NAIA to NCAA Division II, Clifford tallied 14 goals and was named to the All-East Coast Conference Second Team. He was also recognized by the United Small College Athletic Association (USCAA) as a Second Team All-American. 

In basketball, Clifford appeared in 53 games over the course of two seasons (2013-15). During the 2014-15 campaign, the 5-foot-11 shooting guard averaged 10.0 points per game and canned 64 three-point field goals. He caught fire in March and was named to the USCAA National Championships All-Tournament Team while helping Daemen to three wins and the program's first USCAA national title. Clifford was also a member of Daemen's inaugural track and field team in 2011, and was the program's record holder in the 400 meters for several seasons.

CASEY SHEEHAN

Sheehan, a native of Rochester, N.Y., starred on the hardwood from 2010-14, helping Daemen to an 82-39 record, the 2012 AMC tournament championship, the 2013-14 ECC regular-season championship and three national tournament berths (2012 NAIA, 2013 & 2014 USCAA). A 5-foot-10 combo guard, he was named to the AMC All-Freshman Team after averaging 10.0 points and 3.4 assists per game in his first collegiate campaign. The stats only got gaudier from there, landing him two USCAA All-American selections as well as a First Team All-ECC selection following his senior season. Sheehan appeared in 114 games and made 104 starts in his career, while totaling 1,505 points, 470 assists and 185 steals, making him one of just two players in team history with at least 1,500 points, 400 assists and 150 steals. He ranks eighth in points, third in assists and second in steals among the program's all-time leaders.

KHARMEN WINGARD

Wingard found a home at Daemen after beginning his career at Gannon University. The Buffalo, N.Y. native netted 1,281 points (14th all-time) while appearing in 96 games from 2002-05. In that span, he led the Wildcats to a 65-24 record and was a three-time All-AMC North Division honoree. As a junior, Wingard averaged a career-high 14.5 points per game, and his 86 three-point field goals were the most by a Daemen player since David Skolen's record of 114 during the 1989-90 season. That total still ranks third all-time for a single season, and his shooting prowess helped Daemen win the AMC championship and advance all the way to the Elite 8 of NAIA National Championship tournament. His 237 career three-point field goals rank fifth in program history.
