BRIANNA AICHINGER QUICK BIO
The 2020-21 season marks the third for Daemen cheerleading as a varsity-sponsored sport, and head coach Brianna Aichinger begins her fifth season with the program. A veteran coach with over 20 years of experience at all levels of cheerleading, Aichinger was the driving force behind the elevation of cheerleading from club to varsity status, a movement which was announced in early May of 2018.
Aichinger competed with the Depew High School cheerleading team beginning in seventh grade and running through her senior year when she captained the squad. She has traveled all over the United States competing against other all-star teams. She competed twice at World Nationals in Orlando, Florida and received the most spirited award four times in her career. She continued her passion for cheerleading at the college level while attending Erie Community College, becoming captain of the team there in her sophomore season. While there, she helped the ECC Kats compete at the NCA Nationals in Daytona, Florida.
Aichinger went on to become a member of the Buffalo Bandettes, a cheer squad for the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League.
Away from cheerleading, Aichinger works as a full-time preschool teacher at Great Expectations.
