Residents of #DCWildcatNation: Brianna Aichinger

A: I grew up in Cheektowaga, New York. I lived in the same house until I bought my own at age 23.

A: My favorite childhood memories are from my grandmother's camp site at the Brennan Beach RV Resort in Pulaski, New York. Site number 1340. Our family would spend every summer there. We had campfires, cornhole tournaments, Saturday nights at the recreation hall listening to the band and many laughs during heated Uno games. 

A: My childhood idol was always my mother. She was always there and never missing anything that my brother or I were involved in. She was Wonder Woman in my eyes. She was crafty, athletic, a chef and more. I've never wanted to be like anyone else. 

A: Currently, I really enjoy scrapbooking. Being able to capture memories and have those to look back on is something I cherish. I also enjoy playing Bingo from time to time.

A: My favorite season is fall. I enjoy the leaves changing colors, going to the pumpkin patch and horror movies. A light sweater and boots make for the perfect outfit. 

A: Believe it or not, I worked as a fish cutter at Captain's Cove. I was 16 years old working 4:00 to 9:00 cutting fish for the fishermen, or to sell at the front counter. 

A: I grew up watching the collegiate cheerleading championships on ESPN. I was a cheerleader for Little Loop football for three years, then became an all-star cheerleader at age eight and continued until I was 18, competing at the Worlds Level. While I was there, I was able to watch the collegiate nationals in person and knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. I first became a college cheerleader at Erie Community College where I had the opportunity to cheer at Daytona and be a part of the collegiate nationals myself. After my three years at ECC, I had the opportunity to volunteer at Daemen as the cheerleading coach. With the talent we had from the athletes and the support of the administration, we became an official varsity sport shortly thereafter. 

A: I would definitely say that my parents are the biggest factors when it comes to guiding me to the correct path as a person. As a coach, I would say every coach I've had has played a role in my development. I try to take a piece of what they have taught me and bring that to how I coach, not only in the sport but in life lessons too, and how to be a role model to those around you.

A: My dad, Dave Aichinger, gave me the best advice. Don't stress about the things you can't control, learn from them and figure out how to make it work. 

A: One of my true passions is being an event planner. I've always been organized and I color coat everything. I'm very obsessive compulsive and make sure everything is in place and done correctly. 

A: I am a baseball girl! I honestly just love watching the game. I have to root for the New York Mets. My brother is their clubhouse manager. He was originally the bat boy for the Buffalo Bisons, then after graduating from high school, he became the visiting team clubhouse manager for the Philadelphia Phillies. He was with the Phillies when they won the World Series in 2008. Now he's been with the Mets for eight years. 

A: My family is a Disney family. The vacations we take are strictly Disney. The most memorable one was when we took my niece, Savannah, for the first time. Watching a two-year old light up was so magical and that made it a trip I will always remember.

A: I would love to travel to Hawaii. I've heard wonderful things and I can't wait to experience that for myself. 

A: Of course, the answer for me would be my grandparents for the obvious reason. But, to think outside the box, I would have my favorite singer of all time, Avril Lavigne; Neve Campbell, she played Sidney in Scream which is my favorite movie; and I would have to say Ryan Martin O'Connor who is the current head cheerleading coach for the University of Kentucky, and I look up to her coaching style. 

A: Never being good enough. I want to be able to leave my mark make sure I did enough while I was here.

A: Wannabe by Spice Girls. 

A: I would like to bring home a national championship title. That would be unbelievable! And, I've always wanted to visit all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums and travel to all 50 states.

A: I was a cheerleader for 18 years, then became a professional lacrosse cheerleader, NFL cheerleader, and now I'm a proud coach of a college cheerleading team.
