Week Of Honors: Women's Triathlon Team Awards

As part of the Wildcat Week of Honors, Daemen College head women's triathlon coach Jon Metz announced his team's awards for the 2019-20 season today. The Wildcat Week of Honors is being held May 4-8 as a way to virtually celebrate the accomplishments of Daemen's teams and student-athletes.

WILDCAT AWARD

Freshman // Woodbridge, Va.

  • Competed in all four races of the 2019-20 season, including the 2019 Collegiate National Championships
  • Posted a season-best time of 1:19:03.4 at the season-opening Central Regional Qualifier where she placed 10th among NCAA Division II participants.
  • Posted top-five finishes within her age group at the Finger Lakes Triathlon & Deer Creek Fall Challenge

Redshirt Junior // Ransomville, N.Y.

  • Competed in all four races of the 2019-20 season, including the 2019 Collegiate National Championships - her third-straight National Championships appearance
  • Posted a season-best time of 1:14:09.8 at the season-opening Central Regional Qualifier where she placed eighth among NCAA Division II participants.
  • Was the top finisher in the female 20-24 age group at the Deer Creek Fall Challenge

Freshman // Speedway, Ind.

  • Competed in all four races of the 2019-20 season, including the 2019 Collegiate National Championships
  • Paced the Wildcats at the Central Regional Qualifier, placing fifth among NCAA Division II participants with a time of 1:12:30.3
  • Placed first in the female 15-19 age group at both the Finger Lakes Triathlon and Deer Creek Fall Challenge

Freshman // Kennesaw, Ga.

  • Competed in all four races of the 2019-20 season, including the 2019 Collegiate National Championships
  • Posted a season-best time of 1:13:11.2 at the season-opening Central Regional Qualifier where she placed sixth among NCAA Division II participants.
  • Finished in the top five of her age group at the Finger Lakes Triathlon and Deer Creek Fall Challenge
