In early September of 2015, Jennifer Kinyon was appointed as the first Head Women's Bowling Coach for Daemen College, taking the reins of the Wildcats' newly-established program which competes in the East Coast Conference of NCAA Division II.
Kinyon comes to Daemen with a background in education as well as external operations in the realm of collegiate and professional sports. Â She has been previously employed as a teacher at Nardin Academy and DeSales Catholic School, and has also worked as a faculty advisor at Niagara County Community College. Â Prior to entering the education field, Kinyon worked as the sales coordinator for the Buffalo Bisons, a AAA professional baseball club, and also as the ticket manager and external affairs assistant in the athletic department at Canisius College.
Kinyon brings a wealth of personal bowling experience to her coaching position at Daemen. Â The Lockport, N.Y. native was a six-year member of the Lockport High School bowling team, leading the Lady Lions to four Niagara Frontier League championships. Â She was voted as a first-team All-NFL performer in her final three seasons, the last of which ended with Lockport winning the Section VI and New York State championships. Â She was inducted into the Lockport High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.
Kinyon holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from Canisius College. Â Since fulfilling her undergraduate work, she's gone on to add three Master of Science Degrees, and is currently working on a fourth. Â She holds M.S. Degrees from Niagara University (Education, 2005) and Canisius College (Educational Leadership, 2013; Educational Technology and Emerging Media, 2015). Â She continues work towards her M.S. in Sports Administration, also from Canisius.
