Athletics Communications & Media Relations

The Daemen University Office of Athletics Communications serves as the primary source of information for 17 intercollegiate athletic programs. Press releases, weekly releases, game notes, player and coaches' bios, updated statistics and records for all of Daemen's athletic teams can be found on the official athletics website - daemenwildcats.com. Members of the media and communications professionals from opposing institutions are encouraged to get in touch with the appropriate sport contact for any information they need may need. The Athletics Communications staff is always interested in assisting members of the media in their coverage of Daemen Athletics.

Interview Policy
All interviews with Daemen University players, coaches and administrators must be arranged through the Office of Athletics Communications. In order to avoid any deadline conflicts, please call at least two days in advance. Please note that player telephone numbers will not be given out under any circumstances.

Media Credentials & Game Coverage
All media members are welcome to attend Daemen University athletic events. Media credentials will be issued to working media only for men's & women's basketball, volleyball, soccer and women's lacrosse home games. Credentialed media members and visiting communications professionals will be accommodated with a press box/court-side working station (as space allows), box scores and statistics. Daemen University conducts post-game press conferences for select games only. Any desire to speak with a player or coach in a post-game setting should be communicated to the appropriate sport contact in advance. 

To request a media credential, please call or email the primary sport contact at least 48 hours in advance of any contest to ensure credentials being granted. Daemen University follows the guidelines set forth by the NCAA and the East Coast Conference governing the issuance of credentials. 


Photography/Videography
All photographers and videographers wishing to work Daemen University athletic events must contact the Office of Athletics Communications at least 48 hours in advance of their chosen event to gain access to the fields and courts of play. Only photographers/videographers that are contracted through the Division of Athletics or those with media credentials will be allowed on playing surfaces at Daemen University athletic events. Special exceptions will be granted on a limited basis, but in most instances, there will be no exceptions to this rule. Credentials will be provided on a limited basis for photographers/videographers who request access within the given limitations.

To request a photo/video credential, please call or email the primary sport contact at least 48 hours in advance of any contest to ensure credentials being granted. Daemen University follows the guidelines set forth by the NCAA and the East Coast Conference governing the issuance of credentials. 

Additionally, Members of the media reporting on Daemen Athletics can request photos and/or video of Daemen student-athletes or coaches by contacting the appropriate sport contact In the email, please include your name, affiliation, what the photo will be used for, the size needed, color or black & white and the file format desired.


Game Film & Live Streaming
Daemen will provide digital media (video) files to opposing coaches in the sports of men's and women's basketball, volleyball, soccer and women's lacrosse. In most instances, digital media files are available for download shortly after the completion of each contest using the specific film exchange platform used by Daemen teams (Synergy, Hudl, Volleymetrics, etc.). In some cases, digital media files may be emailed by the host coaching staff to the visiting teams' coaches.

Daemen also provides live streaming video coverage of most home contests in the sports of men's and women's basketball, volleyball, soccer and women's lacrosse. With the exception of men's volleyball, all contests are streamed to the ECC Network, which is accessible on a computer or via over-the-top apps on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon FireTV and Android TV devices (learn more about the ECC Network). Men's volleyball contests are similarly streamed to the NEC Front Row Network, which operates via the same accessibility. 

Wireless Internet Connection
Wireless internet service is available in Lumsden Gymnasium. Any media member wishing to use the wireless internet service can connect to the dc-guest network. For off-campus playing sites, please inquire with the appropriate sport contact about wireless internet availability.

Statistics Policy
Daemen provides in-game statistical services in the sports of men's and women's basketball, volleyball, soccer and women's lacrosse. Statistics conducted through Daemen's in-game statisticians shall be considered the only official statistics of Daemen home games. Statistics will only be adjusted after a contest at the request of a visiting communications professional if it is deemed to be a major error. Statistical adjustments must follow the NCAA's policy for such. There are no exceptions to this rule.
