Daemen University Athletics

Patrick Ryan begins his first year as the head coach of the Daemen College eSports team in 2019-20. 

Ryan’s gaming career dates back to playing Magic The Gathering from 2002 all the way until Hearthstone’s release in early 2014. In his MTG days he placed in the  top 16 PTQ’s (Pro Tour Qualifier) on two separate occasions. In Hearthstone he reached Legend (the highest possible rank) in early 2018 utilizing decks such as Even Shaman and Shutterwalk Shaman. Ryan has also played and studied MOBA’s since the early days of Defense of the Ancients, to Heroes of Newerth, and eventually transitioning into League of Legends.

Patrick has been employed with Daemen's maintenance department since 2012. He has two loving children, ages 3 and 10.
