GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Daemen Wildcats (24-13) took a split in their second day of action at the Aquinas/Cornerstone Crossover Tournament, dropping a 3-1 decision to the host Aquinas Saints (23-25, 19-25, 26-24, 23-25) before righting their ship with a 3-0 win (25-18, 25-15, 25-17) over Purdue-North Central to close out the weekend.
Sophomore
Jenn Karan led Daemen with 12 kills while freshman
Ye Wang chipped in with 11 in the win over Purdue-North Central.
Setter
Kimmie Mack notched a season-best 31 assists in the win while
Katie Auge contributed 19 digs.
In the loss to the host Saints, Karan bombed away for a match-high 21 kills with
Kaitlin Watchey and Wang contributing 10 kills apiece as well.
Freshman
Chelsea Turcer led the setters with 26 assists and
Kaley Vazquez added 22.
