THE COACHES: Mark Parisi is in his ninth year as head women's volleyball coach at Daemen and owns a 147-150 (.493) career record…Parisi will coach his 300th career match in the season finale at Bridgeport…success has been the norm in recent years, as the Wildcats have posted three-straight 20-win seasons and have averaged 24 wins a year over the past three seasons…two weeks ago he guided the Wildcats to their second-straight United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) national championship...Billy Corrao is in his third season as head volleyball coach at Molloy…Leanna Taylor is in her third season as head volleyball coach at Queens...Leo Uzcategui is in his fifth season as head women's volleyball coach at Bridgeport and entered the season with a career record of 106-24 (.815)...he has led the Purple Knights to four-straight NCAA Division II Tournament appearances and one (2011) NCAA Regional championship...he was named ECC Co-Coach of the Year following his first season as at UB in 2009.

NCAA DIVISION II: Daemen is in Candidacy Year Two of the NCAA Division II membership process...Daemen has been accepted as a member of the East Coast Conference (ECC) and will play full regular-season conference schedules beginning this fall...the College will also maintain its affiliation with the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) for postseason opportunities, as it will not be eligible for the ECC or NCAA postseason during Candidacy Year Two.

THE HISTORY: The Wildcats have a limited history with their three opponents this weekend...Daemen will be meeting Molloy for the third time ever…the Wildcats posted a 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-20) victory over Molloy earlier this year at Daemen…Ye Wang led the way with 17 kills and just one error…Kaley Vazquez added 24 assists…the teams met for the first time ever last year and Daemen posted a 3-0 (25-22, 25-10, 25-21) victory at Lumsden Gymnasium...it marked the 2012 season-finale for Daemen...Joanna Fretthold led the way with 12 kills and 18 digs in the final game of her outstanding career...Cassie Palmer had seven kills and 14 digs for Molloy…Daemen and Queens met for the first time ever earlier this year at Daemen and the Wildcats posted a 3-1 victory (25-18, 25-13, 19-25, 25-23)…Wang totaled a career-high 20 kills for the Wildcats, while MacKenzie Hamilton had eight kills and 17 digs for the Knights…Daemen and Bridgeport met for the first time ever earlier this year at Daemen and the Purple Knights held off a Daemen for a 3-2 victory (25-17, 25-15, 19-25, 14-25, 15-10)…Sarah Rosa led UB with 19 kills and 10 digs, while Biljana Savic recorded 37 assists…Brittany Anthon led Daemen with 13 kills and 12 digs.

THE WILDCATS (21-9; 8-5 ECC): Daemen returns nine players from last year's team that posted a 27-10 record and claimed the USCAA championship...Daemen was voted fifth in the East Coast Conference preseason poll…the Wildcats have reached 20 wins for the third-straight season…Daemen claimed its second-straight USCAA championship two weeks ago and enters this weekend riding a 13-match winning streak…the streak included back-to-back wins over ECC powers LIU Post (3-1) and New York Tech (3-0)…additional ECC wins have come over Roberts Wesleyan (3-0, 3-2), Dowling (3-1), Queens (3-1), Molloy (3-0) and Mercy (3-0), while league losses have come against LIU Post (3-1), NYIT (3-1), Dowling (3-2), Bridgeport (3-2) and Mercy (3-1)…junior Ye Wang (Beijing, China/Hachioji Jissen) has been named ECC Player of the Week twice this season and has recorded 10 or more kills in 23 of Daemen's 30 matches…a two-time USCAA All-American, she had 19 kills in a 3-1 win over Florida College in the USCAA championship game and leads the team in kills (371), hitting percentage (.332) and blocks (92)…junior Lindsey Nowak (West Seneca, N.Y./Immaculata) had a season-high 17 kills in the USCAA championship game and has totaled 267 kills and 43 blocks…senior Brittany Anthon (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) ranks third in kills (219) and second in digs (295)…senior Kaley Vazquez (Kenmore, N.Y./Kenmore West) and junior Chelsea Turcer (Alexander, N.Y./Alexander Central) have managed the offense…Vazquez totaled 26 assists in the USCAA title game and has totaled a team-high 578 assists to go along with 37 aces and 191 digs…Turcer had a season-high 26 assists in a recent win over RWC and has totaled 442 assists…seniors Paige Tilert (Derby, N.Y./Genesee CC) and Kaitlin Watchey (Jamestown, N.Y./Jamestown) and freshman Amber Drzymala (West Seneca, N.Y./St. Mary's of Lancaster) have also produced…Tilert has recorded double-digit digs in 25 of the last 26 matches and ranks third among the ECC leaders in digs per set (4.73)…she equaled her season-high for digs (30) in the USCAA championship match and was named to the USCAA all-tournament team after averaging 5.8 digs per set over the seven matches…she also ranks second on the team in service aces (34)…Watchey is a one-time ECC Player of the Week selection and has totaled 178 kills and 56 blocks…Drzymala has played in 25 of the 30 matches and has totaled 118 kills, 236 digs and 28 service aces…she established season-highs for kills (10) and aces (5) and also recorded 18 digs in a recent win over Roberts Wesleyan.

ROAD WARRIORS: Daemen has played 108 matches since the start of the 2011 season and 86 of the 108 matches have been played away from the friendly confines of Lumsden Gym...the Wildcats are 57-29 (.662) on the road since the start of the 2011 season and 17-5 in home matches during that time.

THE LIONS (9-18; 3-11 ECC): Molloy was picked seventh in the ECC preseason poll...the Lions  return eight players from last year's team that posted an 8-21 record (6-10 ECC)...the Knights  won five of their first nine matches and have gone 4-14 since…Molloy takes an eight-match losing streak into Friday's game with Daemen…Molloy's three conference wins have come over Mercy (3-0), Queens (3-1) and Roberts Wesleyan (3-2), while ECC losses have come against New York Tech (3-0, 3-0), Bridgeport (3-0, 3-0), LIU Post (3-1, 3-0), Daemen (3-0), Dowling (3-0, 3-1), Mercy (3-0) and Queens (3-2)…junior Sam Berna (238 kills, 183 digs), freshman Alley Stefanovski (574 asts, 32 aces, 183 digs) and sophomore Cassie Palmer (194 kills, 179 digs, 47 aces) have led the way...Berna had 16 kills and 13 digs in the 3-2 win over Roberts Wesleyan, while Stefanovski registered a season-high 47 assists in the win over RWC.

THE KNIGHTS (10-12; 4-10 ECC): Queens was picked eighth in the ECC preseason poll...the  Knights return six players from last season's squad that finished 3-24 overall (3-13 ECC)...Queens won seven of its first eight matches, but is 3-11 over its last 14...Queens has posted ECC wins over Dowling (3-1), Mercy (3-0, 3-1) and Molloy (3-2), while league losses have come against Bridgeport (3-1, 3-2), Molloy (3-1), LIU Post (3-1, 3-0) and New York Tech (3-1, 3-0), Daemen (3-1), Roberts Wesleyan (3-1) and Dowling (3-0)…sophomores Arielle DiCocco (216 kills, 135 digs, 38 blks) and Xhesi Domi (293 digs, 21 aces) and senior Ceren Kilic (657 asts, 207 digs) have paced the Knights...DiCocco had a season-high 16 kills in an early-season loss to Bridgeport, while Kilic handed out 40 assists in a recent 3-2 loss to Bridgeport...additional production has come from junior college transfer Francesca Indoni (177 kills, 99 digs, 54 blks) and sophomores Else Buchmiller (123 kills, 32 aces, 180 digs) and Angela Kranz (167 digs, 35 aces).

THE PURPLE KNIGHTS (18-2; 14-1 ECC): Bridgeport is the defending ECC Tournament champion and was picked first in the 2013 ECC preseason poll...the Purple Knights return eight players from last year's team that posted a 27-5 record (15-1 ECC) and advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament...the Purple Knights have been one of the premiere programs in the region in recent years, advancing to the NCAAs in each of the past five seasons…Bridgeport secured the ECC regular-season championship following a 3-0 win over LIU Post earlier this week and is coming off a 3-0 win over Mercy Thursday…it marked the 12th-straight win for the Purple Knights…juniors Biljana Savic, Larissa Oliveira and Ying Shen all earned All-ECC honors last year…UB's lone ECC loss came against New York Tech (3-2) on Oct. 10…the Purple Knights have posted ECC wins over Queens (3-1, 3-2), Dowling (3-1, 3-0), Roberts Wesleyan (3-1, 3-0), Daemen (3-2), Molloy (3-0, 3-0), LIU Post (3-2, 3-0), New York Tech (3-2) and Mercy (3-0, 3-0)…sophomore Sarah Rosa had a season-high 17 kills and 12 digs in a 3-2 win over New York Tech last week and has totaled a team-high 247 kills...Shen ranks second in kills (234) and leads the team in digs (236)...additional production has come from Oliveira (154 kills, 75 blks), Biljana (165 kills, 467 asts, 172 digs, 28 aces) and senior Fernanda Silva (334 asts, 104 digs).

DID YOU KNOW?: Ye Wang ranks second among the ECC leaders in kills per set (3.58)…she also ranks second among the league leaders in hitting percentage (.338) and fifth in blocks per set (0.88)…Paige Tilert ranks second among the ECC leaders in digs per set (4.73)…Kaley Vazquez ranks fourth in the conference in service aces (37), while Brittany Anthon ranks eighth (34)…Tilert recorded her 900th career dig during last weekend's 3-0 win over Mercy…Anthon recorded her 800th career dig during the USCAA Tournament...Chelsea Turcer recorded her 1,000th career assist during a recent win over LIU Post…Kaley Vazquez recorded her 2,500th career assist during the win over LIU Post and enters the weekend with 2,685 assists…Ye Wang recorded her 300th career block recently and recorded her 900th career kill during the USCAA Tournament…she has totaled 937 career kills and stands 63 kills shy of 1,000 for her career.
