ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.- The Daemen College women's volleyball team extended their season-high winning streak to 14 matches after going to Molloy College and defeating the Lions in straight sets, 25-22, 25-22, 25-23. With the win, Daemen improved to 22-9 on the season, and 9-5 in East Coast Conference play, while Molloy fell to 9-19 on the year and 3-12 in ECC competition.

Big games from seniors
Kaley Vazquez (Kenmore, N.Y./Kenmore West) and
Brittany Anthon (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster), junior
Chelsea Turcer (Alexander, N.Y./Alexander Central) and freshman Amber Dryzmala (West Seneca, N.Y./St. Mary's of Lancaster) anchored the Wildcat's victory.

Dryzmala picked up 10 digs and seven kills, while Turcer notched 16 assists. Vazquez and Anthon each posted double-doubles, as Vazquez racked up a team-high 19 assists to pair with 11 digs, while Anthon led the Wildcats in both kills and digs with 11 and 14 in each category, respectively.

Despite the loss, juniors Shannon Appel and Sam Berna and freshmen Alley Stefanovski and Lauren Williams had strong performances for the Lions. Appel picked up a match-high 12 kills, while Williams' 18 digs and Berna's 28 assists were also the highest for any player in today's match. Berna followed up with 12 digs.

Daemen continues its season-ending three-match road trip with a stop at Flushing, N.Y. tomorrow at 1 p.m. with a tilt against the Queens College Knights. The Knights are 10-12 on the season, with a 4-10 mark in ECC play.Â
