For Communications Wildcats Close Fall Season With Sweep Of Thiel GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Daemen College women's bowling team closed out the fall portion of their 2016-17 schedule on a winning note by sweeping three matches from host Thiel College this afternoon at Celebrity Bowl. Daemen scored traditional team-style wins by final scores of 759-628 and 782-633 before sweeping a Baker format best-of-seven series to finish out today's action.  The results come on the heels of another 3-0 sweep of Thiel earlier this week at Transit Lanes.  Daemen closes the fall season at an even 9-9 overall. With today's losses, the host Tomcats fall to 0-12. Freshman Rachel Steele (Rensselaer, N.Y./Columbia) paced the Wildcats today.  Steele posted a team-high round of 217 in the opener, and added a round of 174 in the second team-style match. The Wildcats resume their 2016-17 season by visiting crosstown rival Medaille College at Classic Lanes on February 7.
