Wildcats Take 1 Of 3 Vs. Medaille

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's bowling team returned to action today for the first time in three-and-a-half weeks, winning one of three matches against crosstown rival Medaille College in their home opener at Transit Lanes this evening.

The visiting Mavericks opened things up with an 851-803 win in the first match of the night which was played under Baker-style scoring rules.

The guests would follow up with a tight 795-772 win in a team-style match, before Daemen scored a 774-746 win in the capper.  Freshman Katie Good (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier) posted a team-best round of 216 in the team-style loss.  In the Wildcats' win, freshman Rachel Steele (Rensselaer, N.Y./Columbia) led the way with a round of 192 while  redshirt-sophomore Kaitlyn O'Hara (Clarence Center, N.Y./Clarence) rolled a 191.

The win snapped a four-match skid, and tonight's results put Daemen at 3-9 overall this season.

The Wildcats host first-year program Roberts Wesleyan College at Transit Lanes this Sunday, November 13.
