Beatty Announces Tennis Summer Camp Offerings For Boys & Girls

AMHERST, N.Y. - Daemen College Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach Stephen Beatty will host a week-long tennis camp this summer for area youths.

The Daemen Tennis Camp will be held from June 27-July 1 with separate sessions for varying age groups.  Children entering kindergarten through sixth grade will attend a morning session each day, running from 9 a.m. until noon.  That will be followed by the afternoon session, running from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. for participants entering grades seven through 12.  The camp is open to both boys and girls.

The venue for the camp will be the North Tonawanda Recreation Department's tennis courts located near the intersection of Payne Avenue and Taber Place in the city located in Niagara County, and just a short 15-minute drive from the Daemen campus.  All camp activities, including drop-off and pick-up will occur at the venue itself.

The camp places a strong emphasis on the fundamentals, especially stroke technique, footwork and sportsmanship.  In addition to being Daemen's head coach for the last three seasons, coach Beatty owns 10 years of teaching experience as well as collegiate playing experience, first at Northwood University and later at D'Youville College.

The cost of the camp is $150 per attendee.  Family discounts are also available.  All campers receive a Daemen Tennis Camp t-shirt, and awards will also be presented at the conclusion of the camp.

Don't delay.  Call (716) 839-7698 or visit the online registration page to reserve your spot in one of the top summer camps in Western New York.

All Daemen College sports camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants. Each camp may limit registration only by number, age, grade level and/or gender. Further, NCAA rules prohibit representative of Daemen's athletics interests (a booster) who is not naturally or legally responsible for a prospective student-athlete (grades 9-12) from providing any expenses to attend a camp or clinic. Violations of this could result in loss of NCAA eligibility for the prospective student-athlete. If you have questions regarding this or any other NCAA rule, please contact the Daemen Office of Compliance at (716) 839-8587 or bguerino@daemen.edu.
