Women's Bowling 12/9/2017 3:48:00 PM By Mike Miranto, Sr. Associate A.D. for External Operations & Communications Women's Bowling Sweeps St. Vincent In Fall Season Finale KENMORE, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's bowling team wrapped up its fall season with a three-match sweep of St. Vincent College this afternoon at Kenmore Lanes. The Wildcats opened the day with consecutive wins in traditional matches, besting the Bearcat 789-787 and 916-801, before closing out with a 4-1 win in a best-of-seven Baker format series (168-151, 158-224, 159-115, 197-118, 132-131). Today's sweep runs Daemen's record to 18-4 this season, establishing a new team record for wins in a season. The prior record was set during last year's 16-25 campaign. The Wildcats have at least 30 matches still on the docket during the spring semester. Freshmen Katlyn Newberry (Rochester, N.Y.) and Alex Hasiotis (Rochester, N.Y.) paced the Wildcats today. Newberry rolled a 228 in the opening match of the day. Hasiotis followed up with a round of 206 in the second match. Daemen is now a perfect 5-0 against St. Vincent this season. The Wildcats had previously won two matches against the Bearcats at the Medaille Invitational Tournament held Nov. 4-5 at Classic Lanes.
