AMHERST, N.Y. – On Thursday, August 2, more than 110 participants descended on Glen Oak Golf Club in East Amherst for the Sixth Annual Wildcat Golf Classic presented by RP Oak Hill Building Company, Inc., the largest fundraising event of the year for Daemen Athletics. This year's event, which also featured a basket raffle and silent auction, raised over $39,000 which will make a direct impact on the experience of Daemen's growing number of student-athletes.

"We are thrilled with the turnout we had at our annual golf outing," said interim athletics director Brandi Guerinot. "The support of our Wildcat family and friends allows us to provide the resources that our student-athletes need to succeed, both in the classroom and on their chosen field of competition. We are incredibly grateful for their continued support, and we're looking forward to another fantastic golf outing next year."

In addition to 18 holes of golf in a four-man scramble format, participants were treated to lunch and dinner as well as beverages on the course throughout the day. Participants included Daemen fans, supporters, coaches, administrators, faculty and alumni. The tournament was won by the foursome of Paul Pitcher, Pauley Pitcher II, Christian Nizamis and Jeff Saloski who turned in a round of 56 (-16). Pitcher II is Daemen alumnus and former four-year member of the Daemen men's golf team.
