AMHERST, N.Y. - The Daemen College athletic department is proud to be a part of Daemen Day of Giving, which is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10th. Daemen Day of Giving is a 24-hour, online giving campaign to increase philanthropy among the entire Daemen community, including alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff and students.
The goal of Daemen Day of Giving is to inspire stakeholders and supporters to come together, show pride in their alma mater and provide essential funding to support students and shape the College. This collaborative, inclusive event will shine a spotlight on giving at Daemen and create a new sense of energy around philanthropy.
"From current students to fans and alumni, and everyone in between, Daemen Day of Giving is a great opportunity for our constituents to make an immediate impact on the experience of our growing student-athlete population, and enable us to launch new initiatives within our athletic department," said Traci Murphy, director of athletics.
Those interested in making a donation to the athletic department on Daemen Day of Giving can do so completely online at daemen.edu/dayofgiving once the giving portal opens. One hundred percent of donations to Daemen Athletics are put towards enhancing the student-athlete experience through athletic scholarships, recruitment, improvements to facilities and investments in our coaching staffs.
Daemen is also asking its donors to help spread the word about Daemen Day of Giving by sharing information about the event through their personal social media outlets. By telling your friends, family and followers that you took part in #DaemenDayOfGiving, you can help double, or even triple, your impact.
