Daemen Places 100+ Student-Athletes On ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll

AMHERST, N.Y. - More than 100 student-athletes from Daemen College have been named to the East Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, recognizing their academic achievements during the 2019-20 academic year.

"We are happy to celebrate the outstanding academic accomplishments of our student-athletes," said Dr. Robert Dranoff, commissioner of the ECC. "As we know, this past year was not an easy one - athletically, academically or emotionally - for any of the team members we are honoring. However, they all worked to be successful and we are extremely proud of their hard work and dedication."

The Commissioner's Honor Roll is awarded to student-athletes who receive a 3.25 or better cumulative grade-point average. This annual recognition, in addition to Scholar-Athlete awards, helps to uphold the ECC's mission of promoting the total person and the ability to excel not only in the athletic arena but also in the classroom.

Over 1,300 student-athletes from the ECC's nine member schools and 17 associate member schools were honored. With 109 total honorees, Daemen was one of six schools to reach the century mark.
