Meyer, a 6-foot right side hitter who was named the East Coast Conference Player of the Year last month, was selected to the D2CAA All-East Region First Team and to the AVCA All-East Region Team. She is the first Daemen player named to both teams since Ashley Drzymala in 2016. Meyer has been stellar throughout her first and only season with the Wildcats after beginning her career at Division I James Madison. A four-time ECC Player of the Week selection, she has led Daemen's offense by producing 330 kills this season. Her 3.44 kills-per-set average ranks first among the ECC leaders. She also ranks fourth in hitting percentage (.285) and sixth in blocks per set (0.67). The St. Mary's of Lancaster High School product has appeared in 96 of a possible 104 sets and produced 10+ kills in 22 of 29 matches. Logan, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter, was named to the AVCA All-East Region Team after earning Second Team All-ECC honors last month. The Eden High School product has appeared in 27 matches and 80 sets this season and has complimented Meyer by attacking on the opposite pin where she has totaled 233 kills. She ranks fifth among the ECC leaders by averaging 2.91 kills per set. Logan also has a team-high 41 service aces and leads the ECC in service aces per set (0.52). Defensively, Logan has contributed 192 digs (2.40 digs/set) and six of her 13 career double-doubles have come this season. She registered back-to-back double-doubles in last month's ECC Championship tournament, including a 14-kill, 11-dig performance in Daemen's final round victory over Bridgeport. This marks the first All-Region honor for Logan who has appeared in 91 of a possible 95 matches over her four-year career. Alessi has made an immediate impact this season after transferring from Division I Duquesne and was named Honorable Mention All-East Region by the AVCA. A 5-foot-4 defensive specialist/setter, she has played in 27 matches and 93 sets and leads the team in total assists (849) and assists per set (9.13) while also ranking second in total digs (247). A First Team All-ECC selection, Alessi has produced a team-high 12 double-doubles and ranks second among the ECC leaders in assists per set. She's been at the forefront of a Daemen offense that has a .219 hitting percentage - second best in the ECC this season. Meyer, Logan and Alessi have led Daemen to a 22-7 overall record, a 12-0 ECC record and the ECC regular season and tournament championships.
