Daemen Student-Athletes Post 19th Straight Semester With 3.0+ GPA 1/18/2023 9:53:00 AM AMHERST, N.Y. - The Fall 2022 semester was a success for the Daemen University Division of Athletics with student-athletes achieving a collective 3.11 grade point average (GPA). It marks the 19th consecutive semester that student-athletes have achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher. The academic performance includes 13 student-athletes who achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester. Those with perfect semesters are from a broad cross section of the student-athlete body with 12 of 17 Daemen's intercollegiate athletic programs represented. Teams with 4.0 student-athletes include cheerleading, men's cross country, men's track & field, men's soccer, men's tennis, men's volleyball, women's basketball, women's bowling, women's cross country, women's track and field, women's lacrosse and women's volleyball. A total of 156 student-athletes individually achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the semester. That represents 65% of Daemen's total student-athlete body. In addition, 77 student-athletes (32% of total) achieved a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher. At the conclusion of the Fall 2022 semester, 166 student-athletes (68% of total) now hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, including eight with a 4.0.
