The Wildcats come into Saturday's game with a 10-3 overall record and 5-2 record in East Coast Conference play, while the Firebirds are 9-9 on the season and 4-3 in ECC games. LAST GAME OUT Graduate student guard Paige Emborsky (Newfane, N.Y.) posted a career-high 19-points while shooting 7-of-12 (58-percent) from the field and 50-percent (3-of-6) from beyond the arc, but her outstanding efforts were not enough to stop the surging Saints as D'Youville pulled off the big upset with a 60-51 win over Daemen. D'Youville snapped an 18-game win streak for the Wildcats over their crosstown rivals that dated back to 1986. Freshman Claire Pikett (Holland, N.Y.) pulled down a career-high six rebounds and added two blocks and an assist, while sophomore forward Julia Hauer (Binghamton, N.Y.) totaled nine points, banking 4-of-10 from the field with two rebounds and two steals. CAN'T STOP PAIGE Emborsky was the Wildcats' top scorer for the 10th time this season on Tuesday with her 19-point outing, scoring in the double-digits for the 10th time on the year. The 5-foot-6 guard is averaging 12.8 points per game, and still leads all of Division II with a 60-percent three-point percentage on the year after banking 36-of-60 buckets from beyond the arc. Emborsky ranks third on the team in rebounding with 52 (4.0 rebounds per game). D-D-D-DEFENSE After 13 games, Daemen is ranked No. 7 in all of Division II for scoring defense.
