Daemen Student-Athletes Post 22nd Straight Semester With 3.0+ GPA

AMHERST, N.Y. - The Spring 2024 semester was a success for the Daemen University Division of Athletics, with student-athletes achieving a collective 3.36 grade point average (GPA). It marks the 22nd consecutive semester that student-athletes have achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher.

The academic performance includes 20 student-athletes who achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester. Those with perfect semesters are from a broad cross section of the student-athlete body with 14 of Daemen's 17 intercollegiate athletic programs represented. Teams with 4.0 student-athletes include men's basketball, men's cross country, men's soccer, men's indoor track & field, men's outdoor track & field, men's tennis, men's volleyball, women's cross country, women's lacrosse, women's indoor track & field, women's outdoor track & field, women's soccer, women's tennis and cheerleading.

A total of 182 student-athletes individually achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the semester. That represents 82-percent of Daemen's total student-athlete body. In addition, 99 student-athletes (44% of total) achieved a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher. At the conclusion of the Spring 2024 semester, 167 student-athletes (75% of total) hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
