Women's Bowling Finishes Second at Grapevine Classic 10/12/2025 6:56:00 PM By: CONTACT: Connor Griffin, Assistant Director of Athletics Communications | cgriffin@daemen.edu ERIE, Pa. — Daemen women's bowling wrapped up the Grapevine Classic on Sunday, finishing in second place in the tournament. The Wildcats earned second after securing two wins on Day 2, which transitioned to Baker Format for the matches. Daemen posted a 4-6 record total at the tournament and finished with a total pin count of 8,691. Daemen began the day falling 949-766 to Saint Vincent. The Wildcats then played back-to-back matches against Hilbert, dropping a narrow 806-802 decision in the first one, before coming back to win the second 925-844. Daemen then took on St. Vincent again, falling 939-866, before wrapping up the tournament with a 946-775 win over D'Youville. Kayla Richardson (Webster, N.Y.) led the way for the Wildcats with a 17.6 Baker Average, while Sabrina Palmer (Waterloo, N.Y.), Brenna Forsha (Tonawanda, N.Y.), and Cassidy Papero (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) all finished with a 17.2 Baker Average. Additionally, Mackenzie Hutchins (Wheatfield, N.Y.) was named to the Grapevine Classic All-Tournament Team. UP NEXT The Wildcats have a couple of weeks off before returning to action for the Niagara Brunswick Fall Open (Nov. 1-2).
