AMHERST, N.Y. — Claire Pikett (Holland, N.Y.) was named ECC Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.

Pikett posted six blocks, six steals, and grabbed 10 rebounds in two games over the weekend, helping Daemen go 1-1 at the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic.

The senior logged two blocks and two steals while collecting two rebounds in a 80-75 overtime win over Texas A&M Kingsville on Saturday. She helped the Wildcats hold the Javelinas to 33% shooting and force 25 TAMUK turnovers.

On Sunday against Montana State Billings, Pikett logged four steals and four blocks. She also grabbed eight rebounds, dished out three assists, and scored 19 points. Pikett recorded multiple steals for the fourth straight game, and her four blocks marked a season-high. She helped hold the Yellowjackets to 36.8% shooting from the field, including a 33.3% mark from three, and forced 17 MSU Billing turnovers.

The forward leads the ECC in steals (37) and steals per game (3.4). Pikett is tied for third in blocks (19) and is fourth in blocks per game (1.7).

This is the second time Pikett has earned Defensive Player of the Week from the ECC, after being named Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 17. It is also the fourth time in her career that Pikett has received a weekly honor from the conference.

The Wildcats start the 2026 calendar year on the road, battling Bentley at 2 p.m. on Jan. 1.
