AMHERST, N.Y. - The Daemen University Division of Athletics has reached an agreement with Gibby Consulting Group on a partnership to solicit sales of sponsorship, advertising and naming rights for various assets and properties associated with Daemen Athletics. Traci Murphy, vice president for athletics at Daemen, and Michael Gilbert, president and founder of Gibby Consulting Group, jointly announced this formal partnership today.
"As Daemen Athletics continues to grow and evolve, it is imperative that we reach the businesses and individuals that can make a difference, and help us reach the goals we've set for ourselves," Murphy said. "Mike's unique background in professional sports and business development makes him and Gibby Consulting Group the perfect partner for us in this endeavor. It is clear after meeting with Mike, that he believes the same as we do. There is incredible value associated with an investment in Daemen Athletics and the NCAA Division II space."
Founded in 2019, Gibby Consulting Group boasts an impressive clientele that includes companies such as Kaleida Health, Advance2000 and PPR Energy Solutions. This business venture followed Gilbert's 30-year public relations and arena management career in the professional sports industry, with stints working for the Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils of the NHL, as well as the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL.
"I am extremely excited to partner with Daemen University Athletics to sell sponsorships and naming rights at the University's athletic facilities," said Gilbert. "Daemen University has achieved a significant amount of success with their athletic program over the past few years and I look forward to building on these achievements with local and regional partners who aspire to affiliate themselves with Western New York's premier Division II team."
