AMHERST, N.Y. – The Daemen University women's basketball team is ranked second in the East Region in the third and final NCAA Division II Regional Rankings, as released by the regional advisory committee through games completed by March 2. The East Region consists of the top teams from the East Coast Conference, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, and the Northeast-10 Conference, and the regional rankings are used to determine at-large bids to the East Regional portion of the NCAA Tournament following conference tournaments this weekend. The full 64-team bracket will be released in the 2025 NCAA Selection Show on Sunday, March 9 at 10:30 PM on NCAA.com.

Daemen (19-7) remains second in the East behind only Bentley (28-1). The Wildcats concluded the regular season with an 80-51 victory over Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday to cap off the year with a 19-7 overall record and 15-1 record in ECC games. The Wildcats, who repeated as the ECC regular season champions for the sixth consecutive season two weeks ago, will return to Lumsden Gymnasium this weekend as they play host to the 2025 ECC Championship Tournament.
