Men's Volleyball lands 10 on NEC honor roll

10 From Men's Volleyball Represented On NEC Academic Honor Roll

AMHERST, N.Y. -- The Northeast Conference (NEC) acknowledged the academic achievements of 1,467 student-athletes who qualified for the Spring Academic Honor Roll with a grade-point average of 3.20 or better. Daemen University, which is an associate member of the conference, placed 10 members of its men's volleyball team on the Academic Honor Roll. 

During the 2024-25 academic year, a total of 3,397 NEC student-athletes earned recognition on the Academic Honor Roll, representing more than two-thirds of all conference competitors. 

Earning a spot on the Spring Academic Honor Roll from Daemen men's volleyball were:

    Ondrej Arabasz (Jicin, Czech Republic) / 3.63 GPA / Business Administration
    Johnaustin Bly (Lancaster, N.Y.) / 3.48 GPA / Business Administration
    Eddie Kwarciak (Grand Island, N.Y.) / 3.50 GPA / Accounting
    Jack Rooney (Lakeview, N.Y.) / 3.70 GPA / Biochemistry
    Zach Schneider (Lockport, N.Y.) / 3.56 GPA / Business Administration
    Ethan Sturm (Lisle, Ill.) / 3.40 GPA / Health Science
    Aidan White (Fairport, N.Y.) / 3.30 GPA / Psychology
    Billy Wieberg (Grand Island, N.Y.) / 3.65 GPA / Business Administration
    Bradyn Winters (Coraopolis, Pa.) / 3.48 GPA / Biochemistry
    Kyle Zelasko (West Seneca, N.Y.) / 3.25 GPA / Childhood Education

Under first-year head coach Darek Przybyl, Daemen posted another successful season in NEC play in 2025, winning the program's second consecutive NEC Tournament title after taking down No. 2 seed LIU, 3-2 in the NEC semifinals and topping No. 1 seed Saint Francis 3-1 in the championship match for the second straight season. With the win and the conference earning an automatic bid for the first time, the Wildcats punched their ticket to the NCAA NC Men's Volleyball Championship Tournament for the first time in program history where they hosted Penn State in the opening round of the tournament. The Wildcats went 15-13 overall and 4-4 in NEC action. Daemen landed a program-best six players on the NEC all-conference teams, placing six players on the First Team and three on the Second Team.
