AMHERST, N.Y. -- 70 student athletes from Daemen University have been named recipients of the 2025-26 Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Awards, the organization announced on Wednesday. In it's 19th year, the Academic Achievement awards recognize the academic achievements of student athletes at the Division II level in NCAA championship sponsored sports.

Overall, a total of 21,000-plus student-athletes were recognized from 179 institutions for the 2025-26 Academic Achievement Awards. Daemen represented 70 of the 587 student athletes receiving the award from the East Coast Conference.

In order to receive an Academic Achievement Award, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, have completed a minimum of two years of college level work at a two year and/or four year institution and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during their last academic year.
