Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2019-20): Earned ECC Runner of the Week honors for Sept. 2-8 ... placed fifth out of 69 competitors in the season-opening Doug Watts Open on Sept. 7, marking the fourth top-10 finish of his career. 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2018-19): Earned second-team All-ECC honors ... appeared in all seven of the team's races and was Daemen's No. 1 finisher in each ... placed first at the season-opening Daniel Walker Invitational with a 5K time of 17:01, becoming the third Daemen runner to win a race since the program transitioned to NCAA Division II ... placed 14th at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational on Sept. 22 with a season-best 8K time of 26:34.9 ... also posted sub-27:00 times at the Canisius Alumni Classic (26:46.5) and the ECC Championships (26:48.2) ... placed ninth at the ECC Championships, becoming just the third Daemen runner to post a top-10 finish since Daemen joined the ECC in 2013 ... placed 63rd (out of 170) at the East Region Championships with a 10K time of 35:17.6.

AS A FRESHMAN (2017-18): Appeared in all seven of the team's races, and was among the team's top-five finishers in each race ... made his collegiate debut at the Daniel Walker Invitational on Sept. 1, placing seventh with a 5K time of 17:59 ... placed 15th at the ECC Championships, narrowly missing all-conference honors, with a season-best 8K time of 27:05.7 ... made his regional championship debut on Nov. 4, placing 68th out of 158 competitors (Daemen's No. 2 finisher) with a 10K time of 36:20.2.

AT AKRON HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year varsity player for the Akron Tigers ... two-time MVP of the cross country team, one-time MVP of the track and field team ... served as captain of both the cross country and track and field teams ... sectional qualifier as a sophomore in the 4x400 meter relay ... also earned one varsity letter in swimming ... member of the National Honor Society. 

PERSONAL: Born Michael Dennis Swiniarski on April 19, 1999 in Amherst, N.Y. ... son of Dennis & Kim Swiniarski ... hobbies include working out, swimming and playing video games ... chose to attend Daemen because of the size and location ... majoring in Physical Therapy.
