2024-26 (JUNIOR)
First men's cross country runner in program history to run at the NCAA Div. II National Championships... became Daemen's first men's ECC Runner of the Year... USTFCCCA All-East Region... First Team All-ECC... Johnson put together an outstanding junior campaign as Daemen's top runner... placed first of the team in five of the six team races... opened up the season strong with a 6K PR of 19:26.7 as he placed fifth out of 109 runners at the Doug Watts Open on Sept. 6... followed up with an 8K PR time of 25:21.1 -- the second-fastest 8K time in Daemen men's cross country history -- at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational on Sept. 27 where he finished 12th out of 249... finished 14th out of 214 runners with a time of 25:25.0 at the Highlander Invitational on Oct. 11... in a team pace race at the Canisius Alumni Classic on Oct. 18 he finished fifth on the team with a time of 30:49.7 to place 141st overall... became the first Daemen men's runner to finish first overall at the ECC Championships, posting a time of 26:24.8 to place first out of 67 runners and earn the ECC Runner of the Year title and First Team All-ECC honors... earned USTFCCCA All-East Region honors as he placed 7th out of 112 runners with a 10K time of 32:18.8 at the NCAA Division II East Region Championship and punched his ticket to the NCAA Division II National Championships earning an at-large bid... was the first Daemen men's runner to race at Nationals and finished 211th out of 259 runners with a time of 32:53.4. 

2024-25 (SOPHOMORE)
Raced in two of the team’s seven meets in 2024… finished as one of Daemen’s top seven runners in both meets…. Posted a time of 29.05.07 at the Paul Short Run where he placed 270th out of 312 runners and seventh on the team…. Posted a time of 29.57.4 at the Canisius Alumni Classic where he placed 80th out of 120 runners and seventh on the team… 

2023-24 (FRESHMAN)
USTFCCCA All-Region... ECC Rookie of the Year... First Team All-ECC... Daemen Athletics October 2023 Athlete of the Month... competed in all seven of Daemen's meets... made an immediate impact on the Wildcats in his freshman season, setting PR's in five races... was one of Daemen's top three runners in two meets and top two runners in five meets... helped the Wildcats to a pair of first-place team finishes for the first time since the 2011 season... made his Daemen debut with a 6th place finish out of 79 runners with a 6K PR of 20:46.1 as he finished third on the team at the Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational... was the third Daemen runner to cross the finish line as he placed 3rd of 19 runners at the Daemen Alumni Invitational with an 8K PR of 27:49.6... finished second on the team with a 13th place finish of 175 runners for an 8K PR of 26:10.7 at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational and helped the Wildcats to a program-best third place finish at the meet... finished second on the team with an 8K PR of 25:42.6 as he finished fifth of 151 runners at the Highlander Invitational... placed second on the team with a 60th place finish of 142 runners with a time of 27:31.6 at the Canisuis Alumni Classic... was the first freshman to cross the finish line at the ECC Championships to earn ECC Rookie of the Year, placing sixth overall out of 62 runners with a time of 25:58.5 to help the Wildcats to a second place finish at conference... ran his first career 10K and finished 23rd of 136 runners with a time of 32:16.2 to help Daemen earn a program-best 4th place finish at the NCAA Division II East Region Championships... earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors as one of the top 25 runners at regionals... was named ECC Rookie of the Week four times this season. 

BEFORE DAEMEN
Competed in cross country and track for the Mount Saint Joseph Gaels under the leadership of Jack Peach and Kyle Reagan... earned Most Improved Runner and the Coaches Award in his senior year... helped his 4X800 meter relay team set an indoor record of 8:02.95 on the way to winning the MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championship in 2023... favorite high school memory was competing at the Indoor New Balance Nationals where he helped his team to break all three of their indoor relay records in one weekend... participated in the National African American Recognition Program... was a member of the National Honors Society... named to the Principals List.

PERSONAL

Born Christopher Kyle Johnson, Jr. on Jan. 16, 2005 in Baltimore, MD... son of Christopher and Nicole Johnson... has one older sister, Naiya Johnson... hobbies include running, listening to music, gaming and basketball... dream job is to be a toxicologist or forensic scientist... majoring in Biochemistry... chose to attend Daemen because "I know I will be able to grow both academically and athletically. I will be able to work hard towards my goals in an environment of supportive people."
