The Daemen College women's triathlon coaching staff has been bolstered with the addition of Amy Darlington. Darlington, a former collegiate student-athlete and professional triathlete, joins the staff in a volunteer role.

Originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Darlington was a founding member of the Arizona State University women's triathlon team and helped the Sun Devils capture the 2016 collegiate national championship. Following her time at ASU, Darlington went on to compete in Major League Triathlon for the Atlantic City Waves, and she's since earned a USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach certification.

Darlington is a 2016 graduate of the prestigious The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, earning a bachelor's degree in Economics. At Penn, Darlington was a four-year member of the Quakers' cross country and track and field teams. She captained the cross country squad in her junior and senior seasons. She would go on to earn a master's degree in Sports Law and Business from ASU's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law.

"We are extremely pleased that Coach Darlington is joining the Daemen College women's triathlon coaching staff," said Daemen head coach Jon Metz. "As a former member of an NCAA national championship women's triathlon team, she will have an immediate impact on developing our championship-caliber student-athletes."
