Ashli Jeune begins her first season as a graduate assistant coach on the Daemen women's basketball staff in 2020-21. In this role, she assists head coach Jenepher Banker with the day-to-day operations of the program, including on-floor coaching, scouting of opponents and various administrative responsibilities.
Jeune's appointment to the coaching staff comes after she made a major impact in her one and only season competing for Daemen. Appearing in and starting all 28 games during the 2019-20 season, Jeune averaged 9.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists while helping the Wildcats win a share of the East Coast Conference (ECC) regular season championship as well as the program's first ECC tournament title and subsequent NCAA tournament berth.
After beginning her collegiate career at Rutgers University, Jeune went on play at UNC-Wilmington where she was a multi-time recipient of Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner's Academic Award honors. A native of Westampton, N.J., Jeune graduated from UNC-Wilmington in 2019.Â
