Courtney Donovan

After completing her playing career at Daemen in 2012, Courtney Donovan begins her third season on the team's coaching staff in 2014-15 as an assistant under head coach David Skolen.

Donovan put together a solid three-year playing career for the Wildcats after transferring in from the University of Rochester. In her time at the Amherst campus, Donovan developed into one of the premier centers in the area as her career culminated with an Honorable Mention All-American Mideast Conference selection.

A key contributor on back-to-back National Tournament teams, including Daemen's 2010-11 squad that advanced to the Sweet 16, Donovan enjoyed her finest season as a senior, averaging 8.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.1 blocked shots per game while leading the team in three-point shooting at 37% (49-for-133).

In addition to her exploits on the hardwood, Donovan was active in the academic community and in extracurricular activities on campus. She served as the President of Daemen's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in 2011-12 and graduated as the Valedictorian of the History and Government department. She was also the inaugural recipient of the Daemen College C.L.A.W. Award, given out at the College's Athletics Banquet to the student-athlete who best exemplifies the traits of character, leadership, academic excellence and work ethic.

With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Government, Donovan is currently pursuing a Law Degree from the University at Buffalo. She is single and resides in her hometown of Grand Island, N.Y.
