Zach Morris joined the Daemen Sports Medicine & Performance staff in August of 2018 in the role of intern athletic trainer, and has since been promoted to assistant athletic trainer/strength and conditioning. He provides essential athletic training coverage and strength and conditioning services to a variety of intercollegiate athletic teams at the college.
Morris comes to Daemen after recently completing his Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training from Canisius College. Morris was a Dean's List honoree during each of his undergraduate semesters, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. As part of his undergraduate studies, Morris gained clinical experience with several programs at Canisius, including softball, men's and women's soccer and men's basketball. He also performed a clinical rotation at the University at Buffalo, working with the Bulls' men's basketball and football teams.
In addition, Morris spent time as an intern for IMPACT Sports Performance which operates out of the Harborcenter in downtown Buffalo. His affiliation there led to professional responsibilities during the NHL Combine which was held at Harborcenter.
Morris is a native of Lockport, N.Y.
