2023-24 (5TH-YEAR SENIOR)
First Team All-ECC... CSC Academic All-District... Most Outstanding Player of the 2023 East Coast Conference Championship... three-time ECC Player of the Week... helped lead Daemen to a 26-6 overall record, the program's third consecutive unbeaten conference season and conference tournament championship and the program's second appearance in the "Sweet 16" round of the NCAA Division II Championship tournament... appeared in 27 of a possible 32 matches and totaled 251 kills while averaging 2.67 kills per set... also contributed defensively by totaling 262 digs (2.79 digs/set)... recorded eight double-doubles on the season, including 12 kills and 11 digs in Daemen's 3-1 win over American International in the opening round of the NCAA tournament on Nov. 30... recorded a season-high 15 kills in matches against Quincy (Sept. 15) and Molloy (Sept. 24, Nov. 5)... averaged 2.71 kills and 3.71 digs per set in conference tournament play, leading Daemen to wins over fourth-seeded Queens (Nov. 17) and second-seeded Molloy (Nov. 18)... posted a season-high 18 digs in the ECC Championship finals vs. Molloy... recorded her 1,000th career dig in a five-set loss at Gannon on Oct. 18... recorded her 1,000th career kill in a five-set win over Molloy on Nov. 5... was named the 2023 ECC Preseason Player of the Year on Aug. 23... served as president of the Daemen Student-Athletie Advisory Committee.


2022-23 (SENIOR)
2022 ECC Player of the Year... First Team All-ECC... AVCA All-Region... D2CCA All-Region... CSC Academic All-District... helped lead Daemen to a 20-6 overall record and the Wildcats' second straight undefeated East Coast Conference season (10-0)... 2022 ECC Tournament champions... season ended in the NCAA East Region in quarterfinal loss to Saint Anselm... led all Daemen players in kills per set (3.33) and ranked second on the team in kills (233)... finished with a .217 hitting percentage on the year... recorded double-digit kills in 14 matches... third on the team with 226 digs (3.23 digs per set)... tallied double-digit digs 12 times this season... ranked fourth on the team with 24 service aces (0.34 aces per set)... tallied nine double-doubles (kills-digs) on the year... recorded a career-high 21 kills at D'Youville on Oct. 22... recorded a career-high four blocks at Saint Rose on Oct. 21 and a career-high two solo blocks against Saint Anselm on Sept. 9... named ECC Player of the Week three times this season

2021-22 (JUNIOR)
All-ECC second team...part of team's historic season that included winning program's first NCAA East Regional title and advancing to Elite Eight for first time in school history... season ended as seventh-seed against Western Washington in national quarterfinals held in Tampa on Dec. 9... 2021 East Coast Conference Tournament champions...appeared 29 of 33 matches... ranked fourth on the team in total kills (211) and third in kills per set (2.15)... also ranked third in service aces (32) and total digs (270)...registered double digit kills eight times...registered a career-high 16 kills during in back-to-back matches against Southern Connecticut (9/26) and Roberts Wesleyan (9/30)...contributed 12 kills and a season high 20 digs in the NCAA Regional championship game against AIC...named to the NCAA Regional all-tournament team.


2020-21 (SOPHOMORE)
Appeared in all six matches and 20 of a possible 21 sets during a season that was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic... totaled 37 kills and a team-high 61 digs... led the team in digs per set (3.05) and finished fourth in kills per set (1.85)... made her Daemen debut March 25 vs. Mercyhurst and recorded a double-double with season-highs in kills (10) and digs (22)... also recorded double-figure digs in both matches of a doubleheader vs. Gannon on April 3 (10, 15)... named the recipient of the team's Wildcat Award... recipient of the Female Iron Wildcat of the Year Award.


BEFORE DAEMEN 
Played at Urbana University as a freshman during the 2019-20 school year... Named the Mountain East Conference Freshman of the Year and honorable mention All-MEC after totaling 331 kills, 299 digs and 35 blocks ... helped Urbana to a 19-13 record, a second place finish in the MEC standings and a runner-up finish in the MEC tournament.

Starred for Assumption High and coach Ron Kordes, leading the Rockets to an 83-3 record and back-to-back Kentucky state championships as a junior and senior ... led team to a 43-0 record as a senior en route to being named national champions by prepvolleyball.com, USA Today and Max Preps ... two-time Academic All-State honoree ... four-time Sportsmanship Award recipient ... also competed for KIVA (Kentucky-Indiana Volleyball Academy) on the club volleyball scene.

PERSONAL
Born Margaret Lynne Burns on March 26, 2001 in Louisville, Ky. ... daughter of Joe & Gina Burns ... has one sister, Ellie Burns ... her aunt, Angela Gingerich, played volleyball at Maryville College ... enjoys working out, tasting good coffee, trying new recipes and hanging out with friends ... her bucket list includes traveling with her best friend ... favorite TV shows are OneTree Hill and All-American ... favorite movies are the Fast and the Furious franchise ... favorite musical artist is Quinn XCII ... favorite holiday is Thanksgiving ... favorite vacation spot is the beach ... lists her dream job as teaching and coaching volleyball at her alma mater ... chose to attend Daemen because "of the family atmosphere... it felt like home when I stepped on campus" ... majoring in secondary education with a specialization in math.
