Mike Miranto serves as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Operations and Communications at Daemen University. Since his hiring in 2010, Miranto has worked his way into the Division's hierarchy, gaining several promotions along the way. In 2023, he was named the inaugural recipient of the President's Excellence Award given by Daemen University President Gary A. Olson.

In his current role, Miranto provides administrative oversight in the areas of game and event management, communications and media relations, and facilities. He sits on the division's Executive Committee and also serves as the sport supervisor for Daemen's men's and women's volleyball and tennis programs.

Miranto's ascension to a managerial role came after a decade-long stint as the primary communications officer within the division. In that time, he played a leading role in the collaborative effort to broaden Daemen's online reach through the design, development and launch of the Daemen's athletics website in the fall of 2012, as well as subsequent re-designs in 2015, 2018 and 2023. Miranto was also instrumental in the launch and development of the division's primary social media initiatives, as well as individual accounts for all of Daemen's intercollegiate athletics programs.

In the realm of media relations, Miranto has provided relevant information to local media outlets for newspaper articles, online blogs, and feature television news stories, all of which have seen a significant increase under his leadership. In recent years, Miranto has been successful in pitching stories and highlights to various media outlets, including The Buffalo News, local television and ESPN among others. He's also a regular contributor to Daemen Today, a magazine published biannually for alumni, friends and supporters of Daemen University, and Paw Prints - the official newsletter of Daemen Athletics.

To aide in broader campus initiatives, Miranto sits on the college's Marketing Committee, as well as its Emergency Response Team.

At the conference level, Miranto sits on the East Coast Conference Hall of Fame Committee, and he represented the ECC as a member of the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Regional Advisory Committee from 2018-20. Since 2022, he has additionally represented the ECC as a member of the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Regional Advisory Committee.

At the national level, he is a past voter for the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Miranto is also a member of the College Sports Communicators (CSC), a professional organization comprised of sports public relations, media relations and communications/information professionals throughout all levels of collegiate athletics in the United States and Canada.

Miranto also served Daemen as a coach on its men's basketball staff from 2010-15.  After one season as the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach, he was promoted to the position of Associate Head Men's Basketball Coach midway through the 2011-12 season.  The last four seasons of Miranto's coaching tenure coincided with the program's most successful four-year stretch in team history, a span that included a record of 89-34, a win over NCAA Division I Canisius College, a NCAA Division II-best (at the time) 44-game home winning streak, and the 2015 United States Collegiate Athletic Association Division I National Championship.

Miranto came to Daemen after three years at the University of Great Falls (Mont.) where he served in several different administrative capacities including Assistant Student Life Coordinator (2007-08), Intramural Coordinator (2008-09) and Sports Information Director (2009-10). During his three-year stay at the small, private, Catholic institution in the heart of "Big Sky Country", Miranto also held the position of Assistant Men's Basketball Coach.

Miranto holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Buffalo State College. He resides in North Tonawanda with his wife, Lauren, and the couple's twin sons, Dominic and Elliott.
