After a successful junior campaign in which he led the Wildcats in all seven races, Moote was voted the East Coast Conference Preseason Runner of the Year and has definitely lived up to that honor.  The senior has led the Wildcats to two consecutive first-place team finishes for the first time since 2011 as well as a program-best second place team finish at the highly competitive Harry F. Anderson Invitational. After setting a personal-best 6K time of 20:32.8 to finish fourth overall at the season-opening Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational, Moote finished first of nineteen in the Daemen Alumni Invitational with a time of 27:33.0. He led the Wildcats on the course of the Harry F. Anderson Invitational, finishing sixth out of 175 runners with a time of 25:38.0.  Moote has been named the ECC Runner of the Week twice already this season, and has helped propel the Wildcats back into the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional poll. Daemen is currently ranked fifth in the East Region.
